These are free of charge programmes to people who are, or have been, abusive towards their partner, children or wider family & whānau.

Men: Building Respectful Relationships

A learning and supportive group for men who want to build safe, trusting and respectful relationships with their partner and whānau. The programme provides a safe space for men to openly explore their experiences of abuse and violence and their aspirations for their family.

 

This programme will help you to:

  • Understand the impact of violence and abuse
  • Learn strategies to manage intense emotions
  • Explore respectful communication
  • Work on being the best dad you can be
  • Respect self and others
  • Be healthy and well.

Women: Building Respectful Relationships

Individual programme for women wanting to better manage their own behaviour within their family.

 

This programme will help you to:

  • Understand and manage intense emotions
  • Be healthy and well – self and family
  • Have safe and respectful relationships
  • Explore respectful communication
  • Resolve and manage conflict.

Youth: Building Respectful Relationships

An individual programme working alongside whānau, to support young people (12-17 years) to be happy, healthy and well.

 

The programme will help you to:

  • Learn the effects of violence
  • Identify warning signs and triggers
  • Have healthy relationships and friendships
  • Resolve and manage conflict.
